Is Your Mentor Interested or Committed?

Posted on | May 28, 2009 | 1 Comment

Interested or Committed

If you are interested, you’ll do what’s convenient;

If you are committed, you’ll do whatever it takes,

Am I interested in this or am I committed to do it?

Great question that one of my mentors, Kurt Reinke, asked me.  But he asked it in reference to himself – pretty cool.  It was his way of saying that he is committed to helping me become the best that I can be.  (And I need a lot of help in that area.)

Thank you, Kurt!  I appreciate you.

What other areas of life or business can this idea of Interest vs. Committment apply?  Please add your comments.

    YES! That definitely sounds like a question Kurt would ask! :) (Just call him “Soc” for Socrates)

    Kurt Reinke is a remarkable mentor … and anyone who has the opportunity to learn from/work with him, is truly fortunate.

    He genuinely cares about you, your dreams and helping you achieve those dreams & goals (individual or company). He is committed to helping you realize your unique individual strengths & potential. AND he’s always asking the RIGHT QUESTIONS every step of the way (and he listens to what you’re saying… and what you’re not saying – one of his special gifts).

    (Okay, I could go on and on at how he’s helped me grow my business & as a person. I could also list 107 reasons why he’s one of my favorite people – but really, how much room does a “reply” get?). :)

    Thank you, Kurt – you’re a treasure & you’re appreciated by many.

    And thank you, Jason, for sharing this post.
