Cells for Cells will be giving away a brand new iPod Touch at the Farmers Earth Day event April 22 from 9 am to 4 pm. (Farmers Insurance Parking Lot at 106th and Ridgeview in Olathe, KS).
Just bring in your old cell phones and for every cell phone donated, Cells for Cells will give you a numbered ticket. At 4pm, we’ll draw one ticket out and award the iPod Touch to the bearer of the matching numbered ticket. You must be present to win.
Proceeds from recycling cell phones go to fund the Extreme Medical Bill Makeover program. (If you know a family that is battling cancer that desperately needs help paying their medical bills for cancer care, send them to the April’s Medical Bill Makeover page.)
And while you are there, you can bring any to recycle:
- Computer monitors $5 each and TV’s 10$ each to recycle
- Printers, fax, fans, sat dish, microwaves, toaster ovens
- Lumber, plywood, sheetrock, roofing material, air cond., gently used carpet, cabinet hardware, plumbing fixtures
- Used eye glasses
- Recycle Cell Phones / Recycle Mobile Phones (of course, drop all cell phones off at the Cells for Cells booth)
- Gently used children’s books, balls, games
- Shred confidential docs with Cintas Shredding
- Paper, Plastic, aluminum
- …and any other materials that fall into those general categories
